There can be many reasons why people want to learn German for fun: to practice a nearly forgotten skill because it challenges the brain, to prepare for travelling in a German-speaking country and learn about its culture, history and traditions, or to meet old friends – all this can be fun, whether learning in a group or in individual lessons.

Whereas you would want to study and improve your language skills, you do not have to worry about passing exams, and you could just enjoy speaking with others in the group, sharing memories, reading interesting articles or presenting short essays to one another.
